Why My Values

  • 1.     I honor the value of health by valuing nutrition. I can do this by creating a meal plan every week and meal prepping at the start of each week. Sometimes the days are long, you don’t feel like cooking, so you eat chips which is not valuing health. I want to fuel my body with positive things so I can be a better dancer and have better health.

    2.     I honor the value of health by choosing positive mental health and prioritizing myself.  I will do this by if someone wants me to do something even though I am very tired, I will say no once a week. I will not give in because someone else needs me to do something.

    3.     I honor the value of health by learning and understanding my body. I will practice this by not dancing when I am hurt or pushing through when I am in pain every day. As soon as I feel something wrong, I will go to the doctor and rest to priorities my health.

  • 1.     I honor the value of integrity by owning up to my mistakes. I will do this by when I make mistakes, I will be the first one to own up to said mistakes and take accountability for those mistakes every time a mistakes happens no matter the setting.

    2.     I honor the value of integrity by acting the same in all spaces. I will practice this by being the same person I am with my friends and in front of peers every day.

    3.     I honor the value of integrity by my actions. I will practice this by being a positive and overall better person. For example, helping at service center, helping someone up when they fall, picking up something, which I will practice once a week.

  • 1.     I honor the value of wholeheartedness by finding why I fell in love to dance in the first place. Sometimes, grades and expectations can make you forget why you love to dance so remembering the why every day before dance class will help my heart be in the right space.

    2.     I honor the value of wholeheartedness by not worrying about the opinion of others. You can completely be a part of something but as soon as you start wondering what this person is thinking of you, you cannot fully be a part of that one thing. I practice by telling myself positive things in these moments like, they aren’t even paying attention to you” and “who cares”, practicing these will hopefully give me the ability to not overthink and worry about the thought of others.

    3.     I honor the value of wholeheartedness by giving myself a more positive head space. I will do this by giving myself affirmation every morning while looking in the mirror. This will be a great way to start the day as well as give myself validation for the person I am and becoming.
